Martin Kerr is a 21st-century troubadour who has reached more than 50, million people in just the last year with his sweet but edgy music about the condition of our world and how it reflects the condition of our hearts and spirits.

Himat is an Urdu word meaning courage, perseverance in the face of difficulties, empowerment. It's also the name of a peace-building through grassroots development initiative that has helped literally thousands of people in some of the poorest and most difficult areas in the world. In fact, once again in the last month, climate change induced landslides and flash floods have killed hundreds, destroyed roads, bridges, water, hydroelectric and irrigation systems and ruined many farms and businesses, setting back development progress for at least a decade.
