NorCal/NorNev Geomorph Symposium

The Northern California & Northern Nevada Geomorphology Symposium is a regional geomorphology meeting to hear talks, view posters, and discuss research in geomorphology. This year the meeting will take place on October 4-5 in Yosemite Valley. Saturday will be a full day of talks / poster session, followed by an optional field trip on Sunday morning to conclude the meeting.

We have reserved a limited number of camping and lodging options that scientists attending the meeting can purchase when registering. All ticket options that include lodging have the cost of registration included. If you have your own lodging accommodations, you can purchase a registration-only ticket.

If you wish to bunk/camp with specific people, please organize yourselves prior to July 1st so that you can register for everyone in your group and/or list who you would like to be grouped with when you register. The maximum number of people in a campsite is 4 and the maximum number of people in the Wawona field station rooms or Curry Village tent cabins is 2. It is totally okay to book just for yourself, and you will be grouped with other attendees! Please do not attempt to register lodging for family or friends not attending the meeting as we have limited availability.

We will do our best to place your entire group at the same campsite/cabin. However, due to the limited availability of space we cannot guarantee all requests. Keep in mind that others may scoop up the remaining available spots in tent cabins/camping on Brown Paper Tickets shortly after registration opens, so if you register individually at different times, we cannot guarantee you will be grouped together.

Beyond reserving your camping spot for you, the planning committee is not responsible for further site logistics, so please plan to be fully self-reliant with all things related to camping/lodging/parking. Prior to the event, the planning committee will notify you of your specific lodging location/site number and the names of the other individuals at your same site.
