About
(Alexis Langlois, 2024, France, 114 min, in French with English subtitles)

Glittercore pioneer Alexis Langlois debut feature THE QUEENS OF DRAMA comes to Northwest Film Forum for one weekend only! A colorful, sleek, and stylish 2000s musical romance, THE QUEENS OF DRAMA sees Langlois firmly continuing a French lineage of visually stunning and emotionally turbulent musicals along the lines of THE YOUNG GIRLS OF ROCHEFORT (1967) and GOLDEN EIGHTIES (1986).

In 2005, Mimi Madamour, the young pop idol, lives a curse and fiery romance with queer punk icon Billie Kohler. Amongst love, hatred, and torn desires for the spotlight, their pursuit of glory and their passion for each other lead them down a path of self-destruction. They are the symbol of an entire generation, a duo that unleashes crowds, they are the Queens of Drama.

Accessibility
Ticketing, concessions, cinemas, restrooms, and our public edit lab are located on Northwest Film Forum's ground floor, which is wheelchair accessible. We have a limited number of assistive listening devices available for programs hosted in our larger theater, Cinema 1. These devices are maintained by the Technical Director, and can be requested at the ticketing and concessions counter. The Forum does NOT have assistive devices for the visually impaired, and is not (yet) a scent-free venue. Our commitment to increasing access for our audiences is ongoing, and we welcome all public input on the subject!
