We're sorry if you missed out on this talk, but if you are in the Bristol area and would like to contribute in whatever way you can towards BPA organising and presenting talks in the coming years, then please join us in our Open Meeting next Monday 7th Dec at 7:30pm

Nick Duffell

Author of "The Making of Them" and "Wounded Leaders"

Nick will provide a mix of didactic teaching and practical learning on the impact of boarding school on 'survivors', illustrated by video clips from the BBC film The Making of Them.

Participants will get a good introduction to working with this fast-growing but demanding client group, to detect boarding issues underlying present problems, understand the institutionalised dimension of hierarchies, bullying and abuse and learn to work with traumatic dissociation.

Nick Duffell's pioneering work on the psychology of boarding has been featured on TV and radio.

A psychohistorian and author of several books on boarding, he started Boarding School Survivors workshops in 1990 and currently provides specialist training to therapists and is researching VR supported attachment-repair at UCL
